This is what my Ferret looked like when both myself and my son Eugene picked it up November
18,1997 in Spencer, Indiana. I purchased the vehicle from Joe Franklin, the owner of a business
named Western Resources. I initially spoke to Joe earlier that year when I read an ad that he had
placed in a military vehicles magazine offering nine Ferrets for sale. He sent me a catalog complete
with photos and descriptions of the nine Ferrets, three of which were already pre-sold, and I chose
the above Ferret at that time. The vehicles were still in Belgium at that time and they did not arrive
in this country until late October, 1997. The Ferrets were suposed to be shipped to Chicago, but as
luck, or lack of, would have it, they were delivered to Savannah, Georgia. It was frustrating to say
the least knowing that my new toy was passing almost right by and I was going to have to drive 1200
miles to bring it back home. This was because Joe was going to have all nine Ferrets titled in Indiana
thus making it easier for the new owners to title and tag them in the states they were going to.
